We develop methods to study catalytic reactions at a fundamental level, aiming to improve catalysts by understanding their mechanisms. Our unique approach links single-molecule reactive species analysis with bulk reactions. Bridging chemistry and physics, our team includes chemists who synthesize and study catalysts and physicists who develop advanced instruments for analysis. Students gain expertise in synthetic and computational chemistry, mass spectrometry, and spectroscopy.
